After Doubling Down on SMART Beach Trip, Sadler-Stanley Racing Pushes Forward to Caraway

Sadler-Stanley Racing drivers swept last weekend’s SMART Modified Tour “Beach Trip” in the state of North Carolina.

On Friday night at Coastal Plains, Pace-O-Matic driver Jonathan Cash rocketed to his first career victory in the No. 16VA. Cash passed former NASCAR Cup Series standout Ryan Newman to accomplish the task in the final few laps.

“It’s been a tough couple of months but this win just changes everything,” Cash said. “Hermie Sadler, Pace-O-Matic, Senator Bill Stanley and everyone involved in this car could have given up on me. We haven’t had a good year at all, but the guys continued to fight and now we have a trophy.”

On Saturday at Carteret County Speedway, defending SMART Modified Tour champion and team driver Luke Baldwin roared to victory for the second time in 2025. Baldwin dominated the final stages of the race, finishing 1-2 with his brother, Jack Baldwin, who drives for Tommy Baldwin Racing. Luke rebounded from a tough first leg of the Beach Trip with a 13th place finish at Coastal Plains to score the victory at Carteret.

“One-two for the Baldwin brothers, it means a lot,” Luke said. “The victory at Carteret meant a lot given the night we had at Coastal Plains. It felt like nothing went our way at Coastal Plains, but man, we made the right strategy call and we were firing on all cylinders at Carteret.”

With the Beach Trip in the rear-view mirror, the Sadler-Stanley Racing team is preparing for the upcoming event at Caraway Speedway this Saturday, September 6. The event is the annual Robert Jeffreys Memorial showdown for the SMART Modified Tour.
