Sadler-Stanley Racing Ready For Hickory Motor Speedway

Sadler-Stanley Racing is ready to visit Hickory Motor Speedway this Saturday, April 6, for the running of the sixth race of the SMART Modified Tour season. The Hickory Hundred presented by Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet is the final race until Memorial Day weekend, as the SMART Modified Tour takes a break. 

Both Luke Baldwin and Jonathan Cash will return to their PSR Chassis, Pace-O-Matic entries for the 100-lap event at the Birthplace of NASCAR. Bobby Labonte was scheduled to compete in a third entry for the race, but will not be attending after the passing of his father, Bob Labonte. The Sadler-Stanley Racing team sends condolences to the entire Labonte family during this difficult time. Both Baldwin and Cash will run Bob Labonte memorial stickers on their entries at Hickory.

Both Baldwin and Cash are coming off top-five runs at Orange County.

“I’m excited to get back to Hickory for the first time this year,” Baldwin said. “I have a lot of experience at this track, whether it’s racing or watching, so I have a lot of confidence going in. There are a few little things about the track that have changed, but at the end of the day it’s the same old, worn out Hickory. I know my Pace-O-Matic, Sadler-Stanley Racing PSR Products Modified will be fast, so I expect to be up front.”

“All of us are looking forward to Hickory this weekend,” Cash said. “It feels like we may have turned the corner and got the car a lot better last week, so we have a lot of confidence. We tested at Hickory and had good speed in our PSR Products, Pace-O-Matic machine.”

The schedule for race day at Hickory includes practice from 3:20-4:10 p.m., followed by Pace-O-Matic qualifying at 5:20 p.m., and the drop of the green flag for the Hickory Hundred at 7:15 p.m. The race will air live on FloRacing.TV.
