Sadler-Stanley Racing Ready For SMART Modified Tour Opener at Florence

Peanut Patch 99 To Open 2024 Campaign This Saturday

EMPORIA, Va. – Sadler-Stanley Racing will open their 2024 season this Saturday, March 2 in South Carolina. The team, with two Pace-O-Matic Modifieds, will compete in the opener of the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic season at Florence Motor Speedway.

Full-time drivers Luke Baldwin and Jonathan Cash will open the season in the Peanut Patch 99. Baldwin will make his team and Tour-Type Modified debut in the No. 7VA, while Cash will drive the No. 16VA in the 99-lap race.

“I can’t wait to get to Florence for my Tour-Type Modified debut,” Luke Baldwin said. “I’ve always loved going there to watch and even got to take some laps there in a Legend Car. It’s a race track that is managed well and the racing product for the fans is incredible. All of the team at Sadler-Stanley Racing and PSR Products have been working so hard during the offseason to get our cars ready to go. I can’t wait for it to start paying off in Florence. We’ve had a few test sessions and had good speed… I’m constantly learning every time on the track.”

It isn’t the first racing action of the season for Baldwin, who competed in six different 602 Modified events in Florida in early February, coming away with multiple podium runs. For Cash, it’s the first opportunity to chase his first career Modified win in 2024.

Both drivers will compete behind the wheel of PSR Chassis entries.

“I’m really excited to get back to Florence and get back in the seat of the Pace-O-Matic No. 16VA Modified,” Jonathan Cash said. “Patience will be key at Florence, especially in a 99-lap race. We’re hoping to come out and go for a win, but most importantly, come out with a strong run to open the season for our Sadler-Stanley Racing team.”

The schedule for the Peanut Patch 99 at Florence Motor Speedway includes practice from 11-12 p.m., followed by Pace-O-Matic qualifying at 1 p.m. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the Sadler-Stanley Racing drivers during the pit party, on track, at 2 p.m. The green flag for the season opener is slated to drop just after 3 p.m. and will air live on FloRacing.TV for those who may not be able to make it to the track.
